Cupaz21 are now suppliers of Herman Miller furniture in the UK. In the 1990s Herman Miller launched the Aeron chair, a totally new kind of work chair, later named ‘Design of the Decade’ by IDSA and Business Week.

Often described as ‘the most comfortable chair in the world’, Herman Miller’s in-depth ergonomic research helped produce the Aeron’s unique design, which is available in three sizes to fit everyone perfectly, whatever their build, whatever their role.

Market trends
In the beginning, desks were rectangular and built with walnut or mahogany veneer. Clerks sat in rows faithfully copying documents with quill pens. Then, office computers arrived and offices became open plan. Desks started to adopt curvy shapes and were sold in light wood finishes such as maple or birch. However, the introduction of flat screens and the increasing popularity of home working have seen there turn of bench desking as companies seek to optimise their space.

And guess what? The finish of choice for the many at the cutting edge is either minimalist white or the darker wood colours. Look out for finishes such as Marron, Calvados or Walnut.
